1) Site monikers: sister_ray and sister_luck

2) Do you go to any other Buffy/Angel sites besides this one? Especially since the shows ended?

Fanfic sites to read, whedonesque to keep myself in the loop.

3) Okay, according to the mags, alot of the characters from BTVS and ATS are going to be on, or are already on TV shows this fall. Will you watch them, just because they are going to be one them?

I doubt I'll watch Smallville (well, I might catch it when it airs on tv here but that might take a while - I haven't got a clue which season they're showing at the moment.)

I'll watch VM, because I've been watching it from the beginning.

I might try Bones, because I like intelligent procedurals (though there aren't many around).

Probably won't watch the sitcoms, unless reviews are really good.

4) Which leads us to the next question: Did you watch all three of the 'American Pie' movies? Just to see Allison?

I watched the first two, in the comfort of my home, because I wanted to know what all the kids were talking about and because I like Allison. The idea of the third didn't appeal to me - I might see it on tv someday.

5) Since the shows have ended, I was wondering:

Have any of you run into or sighted the cast anywhere? Cons don't count, sorry.

Nope. JM concert in London doesn't count, does it? I'm actually not that interested in meeting the actors - I just needed an excuse to go to London and to meet Chani.

On to some non-related BTVS/ATS questions:

6) What City, or State (if you prefer) or Country do you live in?

Germany.

7) If you could pick any place else in the world you could reside in? Where would it be?

I quite like it where I am, but NZ has a special appeal to me.

I read fic, am the worst of the worst in not saying thanks for their interesting and skilled efforts—thanks to some of you right here including your great essays and posts right here; I post on both boards and Ducks’ Babble Board( rarely) as the writers , well respected in fic, and some who actually are writers are actually writing more fic and struggling with the living at writing thing and more power to them—I avoided this board because I don’t do a big long angsty wail with sparkling eyes for Spuffy shippingfanwars other than my idea of story in the aspect of the slayer must be vampire and Spike, over all, really isn’t an anomaly in his development of character except weirdness imposed e.g. enforced permanent leaving Dru so he could hang around longer than the vanquished puff tart of CGI—probably the source of parting ways in points of view. I adore Buffy first and foremost. Then Willow and Faith. There were guys. Really?

3) Okay, according to the mags, alot of the characters from BTVS and ATS are going to be on, or are already on TV shows this fall. Will you watch them, just because they are going to be one them?

While I am very glad they are all finding work and favor to work, there are only a few peeps that I follow “anywhere”. I saw Cruel Intentions and I think SMG is following in the tracks of a highly underrated actress, Stockard Channing, for example. She is tiny and in this world of giants, she ends up pegged for genre that mostly makes money and her showcase of talent is second pick to her Spartan dedicated discipline to work. Her tear-filled anime eyes are the global interest, when I just find her vibrant, an artistic blend of skill that is delivered fresh as deeply intuitive—in the moment. She isn’t always Buffy.

I like method actors, and follow a few, but there are fewer that are really, really pretty like in the Jossverse and Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes aren’t the IT for me.

DB doesn’t work hard; he is a breather—it’s just a job. Although I love the character of Angel and the fact he kept his face less animated as part of his mask yet had a nervous energy—that was once really DB being nervous, but it was something that speaks to an intelligent warrior and a predator. I give him props for not doing too much extroverted, and still holding attention, but then Joss left. I saw the Crow, Wicked Prayer and for 23 days he turned in some (earnest) good work and he just goes spazz when reaching for comedy—I see HIM, the person. The film is a departure BTW, but any concern with Bones won’t be him. I fear he’ll need chemistry w ? to carry his role—anyone see Baldwin’s interpretation of the muscle on ‘Inside?’ He tied all the others inside concerns to his performance. It was real and Baldwin can do camp. Great writing, Timmah!

I hear the comedy Allyson is doing will probably succeed,--something like 70’s Show flavor; I’m asking?--but I don’t do many comedies.

Charisma is just beautiful, but I liked the Cordelia character and use of her least as in I really, really delete, delete, delete. I guess she will battle the snark with Veronica, which I will follow. NB is supposed to be charming and I saw Julie Benz crying her eyes out in some passing by piece of ?with the remote.

James Marsters—you just HAVE to see him act live or die—I’ll watch the terror of Smallville, if you JM fans will post REAL LOUD when he is due up as Brainiac. I WANT TO SEE Alexis Denishof especially as just da bomb in the guyssightings of joss. I started out having heard only of ASH, and he just nails things—the Brits get to enjoy him and we’re lucky they share; but AD is my new fave.

However, following acting people fannishly is too controlled by others; that would be in writers and directors in the film industry. It seems the writers are gaining respect in the industry for having shown great control of the medium on BTVS/ATS.

Of course, the real power screws them all and that is in ownership and distribution. I am delighted, however, women are making a name for themselves in the “controlling” jobs, finally, and I do look for their names. Uh Marti Noxon needs a dominator still, IMO. One has to admit the industry is very inbred with nepotism and, it would seem, about “five actors” get all the jobs. I am very grateful, the American entertainment industry isn’t the entire world of the creative good and doesn’t own all of my allegiance or funds.

TV land tends to get the DVD look see. I have little time for TV and do marathons, without comm’ls. I luurved Farscape and Babylon Five; I will/am watching Sopranoes, 6 feet under, queer as folk, the L word, Arrested Development, Malcolm in the Middle, Will and Grace, Battlestar Galatica, the new one. I will follow Veronica Mars, I like House. I liked West Wing and L&O, tos—curious if BEBE, who shames cz-j to pieces live in “Chicago,” will be given a renewal?? Anyone know???

CSI, Vegas. Grissom so belongs to the dominatrix--Horatio is just such a chuckle in F and I no longer watch, and I really like CSI, NY, but I just don’t buy the lovely Greek with all that hair flailing and screwing up the evidence. She should try using a rubber glove or the thong she wears. Have never seen a reality show. I am proud(snob?)

I am a Tim Minear fangirl pimpingho and choose him probably better for his balance instead of dazzle, provocation and exodus Joss. Drew Goddard and his girl Jenny Mollen (Nina) get an automatic pass for their rabid B/A shipperness brought to life that is just cute in a cute and I mean really cute couple, I hear from those attending cons—purty peeps, too. Anyway, Tim is cancelled before even promotion with as much regularity as is the rise of mediocrity. Steven de Knight crosses too many lines for my taste in the world of fantasy and fictions. Theatre gives greater power to the actor.

4) Which leads us to the next question: Did you watch all three of the 'American Pie' movies? Just to see Allison?

I watched a Pie movie—I heard enough to know about the funnies and I rarely watch comedy—the last, because I did want to see if Allyson would be “in band camp” or act in control without the kamikaze fer sure, shriller,”cheep” laughs. She did a break through perf of believable growth on ATS, that got totally flushed on BTVS in her wonderful command, yet still having essential Willowness in her issues of expressing truth, measures of trusting and “make-things nice” to even bring me to bother with Pie.

5) Since the shows have ended, I was wondering:

Have any of you run into or sighted the cast anywhere? Cons don't count, sorry.

”Nope, I've never seen any of the cast….” just walking around is a quote and ditto. I see lots of many kinds of entertainment peeps who actually live in NYC or play in CO. I actually loathe LA. Sorry. Mostly for anyone having to live through not driving anywhere in a 600 horsed-power parking lot there.

On to some non-related BTVS/ATS questions:

6) What City, or State (if you prefer) or Country do you live in?

Nebraska, USA, the high plains of hell, and it is autobiography why I got here. But! In America, you can leave. That freedom can’t be overemphasized.

7) If you could pick any place else in the world you could reside in? Where would it be?
I used to think in European terms, then New Zealand when I was young, actually, before “anyone” heard of it, but I have been everywhere except Antarctica and “march of the penguins” is enough of a travel log, so it just really doesn’t matter when you can work everywhere. (No, I am not a computer wonk, even if I like to build them; just had to adapt to exist—long story. I liked the Renaissance, but I like respite in wild, private places e.g. forests or places to see sea, sand and sky as one interplay, or the smoke of stones and the fire of stars, but my wife liked plumbing.
