To quote everyone's favorite Uncle (Tim) I'm spending a lot of time on my %@#*@! equine *LOL*

I guess I should let you know that Molly is not only fat she is OFFICIALLY fat. When you are so fat that you roll off the couch accidently because you can't stop the momentum...you are FAT. I say cut her back, Doug sneaks her food as that is where her happiness lies. If I were edible he'd feed me to her as a snack :-/

In reality I have been spending a lot of time on my horse. We are entered in a 25 mile Limited Distance ride in October. I'm having to really push to try and get my old girl up to a steady pace of 5-6 miles per hour. Weather has been an issue in August. High humidity, hot, miserable...now add rain to it. So we have had a set back. I can't physically handle the heat, and at her age I hate to push her 20+ miles in a day carrying my fat butt around. Hoping the weather will turn fall like SOON!

Then there were the iris plants to re-set. Forty-three rows of them. Haven't done a head count on them yet, but a lot of digging and moving in the heat. The garden needed it, had about gone to heck with clover crowding out the plants. Now if I can keep the weeds sprayed the garden should be productive next year. Added many new patterns and colors of dwarf and tall bearded irises. Have several rows of my own crosses that I'm waiting to bloom ***please bloom 2007***. I registered Mookie Prance, Pahtootie Pie (a dwarf), Beverly June Felix (after my Mom), and Yacky Doodle Dandy (a sharp yellow and white TB) for 2006. They will be introduced in very limited quantity next season. Mookie Prance is my favorite of all, just a beautiful iris, and the color / pattern is amazing. Just hoping the increase on that plant is good for '07.

Still looking for a satisfactory job. I seem to have a knack of picking less than favorable situations. The last one could have landed me jail time the rate it was going. I stressed...put my foot down, voila! Unemployed!!!

So if any of you are hiring I'm available, HA!

This weekend we plan to start adding on three stalls to our barn for the horses. Currently they have a run in shelter. Puddin' do to her age is kind of high maintenance. She can't tolerate being cold or wet so she needs a stall and her blankets when the weather turns cold. The other horses run her out of the shed and I worry she will die from hypothermia if I'm back to work where I can't run out and move her. The stalls will allow me to watch the weather and plan for her. I hope.

Spoody is slowing down. He turned six a month or so back. He's about the best boxer kid anyone could want. Still loves his mookies and still does the Mookie Prance. When Spink passed Spoody took up his place as watch dog on the couch. He doesn't sleep with us anymore. However, big fat Molly can spread out enough to cover "most" of the bed all by herself.

Hoping you and your's are happy and well. Much love to each of you.

Jacke
