Most folks I know never do wear them out. You really do need to trash those pieces of rubber 'junk'. Most only get about 8 to 9K, but once you get anything else on there you'll feel like you have a 'new bike'. I'm sure you'll find that even the 'cheapy' Chien Siens, or Bridgestones will handle better than the 404s.
