You may have already checked these, but three important items usually come up. 1 Do both mute buttons work properly? Somtimes they need just spray lube or taken apart and cleaned. 2 Does fader work properly, 3. Check the knobs on the radio are they set right? "Tone & Avc" inner knob set at 10:00 o-clock, Outer ring set at 2:00 o-clock. Somtimes someone other than you may turn them. If AVC is set low, vloume will not come up as expected while you are increasing speed. Also check to make sure you are getting sound out of all speakers. Wires or connections may be bad. Sometimes with the radios it is the simplest thing that is wrong.. Hope this helps. If it is major problem Contact Pete on this and AVA board he will help you out..
