Check the level of fluid in the rear end if it is to full it will force it up front & leak out from rubber boot. Make sure level is about 3/8" below thread level of the refill plug. Once it is at the proper level pull back boot and really clean up the area. Drive it & see if is is still leaking. Also check on the inside of the rear end with the wheel off, there should be a vent hole at the top of the inside of the rear end (above the splines where the wheel goes into the splines. It may be plugged or the factory omitted it. Kaw forgot on a lot of the XII's. Go the the AVA tech site it will show a photo of where it is & if you do not have one you can drill one very easily. If it is leaking thru the seal you need to remove the rear end and replace seal and o-rings . Not a real difficult job. Again check the tech sites or do a search many have done this repair..
