Well I got an appointment to drop off the bike, that took one month. Then the bike sat in the shop for 5 weeks and they told me it would be at least 2 more weeks before they could look at it. I said I'll pick it up tomorrow have the battery charged and ready to go. Miraculously I got a call noon the next day, they had an estimate for me. $1200 of miscellaneous charges. I said please just service and sync the carbs. OK fine. They did suggest cleaning the tank, which is a good idea but they said they would have to split the bike to do it. My question for the forum, has anyone cleaned there fuel tank and if so what is a good way to do it. Oh, and does anyone know of a good repair shop in north Jersey?
