rich, on my bike the glue would never hold.i remove the speakers and drilled a 1/4" hole where the mounts were,i then dismantled the speakers and inside there is a steel plate in the base of speaker housing i then welded 1/4x11/2bolts put speakers back together, i then made plastic spacers out of plastic like a cutting board. put back on bike using self locking nuts, that was 3 years ago,so far ok...jack
