My only advice is, do you really want to be out in the middle of nowhere when that o-ring finally lets go? You need to take the radiator and exhaust off. Much easier getting the manifold off and back on (without screwing up the o-rings) if you have the room to work with. Spending the extra 25 minutes in disassembly now, will save a lot of aggravation trying to fish the manifold in and around other stuff. I've done this to my '90, and am starting the job tomorrow on an '87.
