AntiFreeze does go bad. It will turn acidic and deteriorate your hoses and any other rubber seals it comes in contact with. By not changing it you are asking for an unexpected breakdown. They have test strips available now that test the PH level of antifreeze and the lowest temperature of protection. I'm sure that heavy equipment, has heavy duty parts and can withstand much longer intervals between changes, but it is recommended to change the coolant in automobiles and motorcycles at least every two years....
