The original 404's were changed at 22k. They wern't worn out, just the start of a new year. The E-3's that replaced them now have 20k and look like new. Since I went to the E-3's at the beginning of the riding season I didn't really notice a change in handling from the 404's. If you are getting less than 20k on tires on a Voyager XII its the way you ride.
