Subject: speaker & exhaust question

New to this forum. I went through 10 pages and really enjoyed all of it. I have a 2000 Voyager and really like it. The right speakers don't work. I would like to have a little more exhaust noise. I read in this forum about redoing the exhaust, but didn't quite understand it. The way I understood it they took out the cross piece in the exhaust in front of the mufflers and plugged the holes. Would that make any differance or was it something else? Thanks in advance for any help.
