Subject: rear balancer shaft

I was adjusting the balancer shafts did the front one turned cc heard a noise turned it back til no noise everything fine.then went to back one loosened bolt,shaft started spinning by itself.Dont know how many times it went around . grabbed screwdriver stopped it turning .never did hear a noise ,is this common? lined it back up by marks I put on it.does anybody else have this .also cant see any punch marks on shaft
