Gary, I understand where you are coming from. No offense taken. There are no books, no secrets, this is not and never has been a business. Donations received this year and years past have never broke even. So no "funds" could ever be saved for future needs. I hope you can understand that if I specify a certain amount then it makes me feel like I am asking for donations and that in asking then I am going against the whole idea of donating. Donating, to me is freewill and not restricted by a specific amount. The act of donating is giving from ones heart and not giving by requirement. I, in my own heart, cannot ask for donations.

I was asked several years ago to provide an easy means for people to donate to this forum so I added the Paypal donation feature of which you do not need to have an account with Paypal to use the feature. There was no cost in setting up the feature but Paypal does charge me a fee for each transaction much like the card reader companies charge a usage fee to the businesses using them. Some of the people using the Paypal feature to purchase pins and patches only paid $7 for each purchase and then when Paypal took their fees I end up selling these items at a loss. I do have posted in the advertisement to include some additional funds for these items to help cover the Paypal fees but it does get overlooked. I couldn't sell enough at a slight markup and then the markup would have been used to help pay for the features added to the forum so the reduction down to the $7 price barely covers the cost and a little bit of the postage and packaging. Although I can say that the Paypal feature has not been used much since it was added. But none the less it is there to use.

I am not sure when you say "we", who all you are including and if the "we" elected you as their spokesperson or even if they are the majority. However, I am not going to ask you, Gary, to be accountable for the "we" as you are asking me to be accountable with books and to specify an amount needed. The ability to donate to this site has been there for years. "We" should not have to be reminded to donate since donating is the gift of giving. Is it not enough to know there is a need and give from the heart or do you have to be told how much to give and be a follower instead of a leader?
