Paul, if you are comfortable removing the rear wheel, then you are almost there. Unbolt rear bevel gear and shocks. Then the caps on both sides of the frame and remove swing arm. There is a pin holding the front splinded shaft of the drive shaft to the output shaft on the engine. Use paper clip to push into hole to release pin. Careful it will fly across the room and you will spend hours looking for it. On re-assembly, there is a specific torque sequence for the swing arm bearings. Did mine a few years ago, just to clean and lube. Relatively easy job, just make room for a large pile of parts. I have some pictures some where when I did mine.
