Found the problem.. The main plug after the fuse box has some bad contacts. Move it around and voila, things come to life. When the contact is lost and reconnected, everything comes back on, except the headlight. Start the bike back up holding the plug and the light is back on. I understand how it works. It is just like turning off the bike. I have a question.
Fuse removed....(main 30 amps)
Key on - 12.8 volts on the power side
Fuse in to start and then removed
Bike running - 12.8 volts on power side and 15.5 volts on the other side. What is going on. This voltage is a lot more than is showing on my bike meter. 13.7 at idle.
