My bike would heat up to around half on the temp gauge while setting in traffic ant Bike Week Daytona with the fan running,never got over the half way mark. It would cool down enough to turn fan off when we got moving, but then would be stopped again, I watched it closely the whole weekend. The I figured all the air cooled V-Twins that was rattling my teeth around me would be the ones in trouble when sitting in one place most of the time revving their engines just to hear themselves. Doug knows as much as the XII as anyone I have met and is right about the gauge.
