Thanks, but this didn't directly help. The bike has been at the Kawi dealership for two weeks now and its getting nowhere. They state they've tried to bleed several times without any luck getting pressure. They want to replace the rear caliper with brand new but according to Kawi, this item is cancelled and cannot be sourced. They also want to replace the rear master cylinder with new, but according to Kawi, this has been indefinitely listed as backordered.

Thus the only options are to replace with used and/or perform rebuild. I've already done both on the rear caliper. The dealership just about refuses to do either as they claim only new parts should be used. This is crap.

I've asked them to contact the Kawi rep for my area (northern NJ) but I'm unsure this will go anywhere. I'd like to contact a Kawi rep myself if anyone knows how I can go about doing so.

I'm also very bothered that it sounds like they'll try to bill me for hours of work to bleed and re-bleed the system with no success. I'm still quite certain there is nothing wrong with the rear master cylinder as all worked before I removed the rear caliper and rear wheel and performed rebuild on the rear caliper.

I'm about to order a replacement rear master cylinder from eBay and attempt to just bolt on and bleed (without rebuild) and hope to get lucky.

Ideas?
