Subject: 1997 voyager transmission clunk lash normal?

hello happy to come across this forum just picked up a 1997 voyager with 99000km i love the bike but notice theres a transmission loud clunk when shifting and also the bike lugs in all gears excess lash in my opinion especially around corners at low speeds on off throttle seems to feel like a gap is this normal for this bike ?other than that no major problems other then the cruise doesnt work . thanks
