Dave:

I'm very close to Paramus. Can I get in touch with you via email? I've ridden on a few occasions to NC as I've a few friends who live there.. curious if you're in their areas...

Just heard back from the shop, the alt is dead; non-repairable as it looks to them as if previously rebuilt and now sealed in such a way they can't open it up...

Looks like I"m going with the eBay $189 unit... I've asked in separate thread if anyone has any experience with these; no replies thus far...

As to the monitor, I have the Kuryakyn one and it does good -- assuming you watch it -- I usually do, but in this case, it showed problems after already into the ride -- too late to do anything except hope I got to my destination which I didn't without the aid of AMA towing.

Once this is sorted out, my next step is to remove all the accessory wiring from the battery terminals and attach to separate fuse box... that I could use some suggestions for...

Thanks
