I did call Carl. As I suspected the cold start passages from
the bowls up to the starter valves are clogged. There is no way I know of to get them clear, unless you put the carb bodies in some kind of high pressure vibrating cleaning machine. For now all I do is spray some raw gas into a hole in the air box first time in the morning for the whole day.
