I am somewhat new to the Voyager XII riding scene but love it a bunch, rode a lot of different bikes previously. Bought mine from a neighbor a couple of years ago and still doing all the fixits that go with a unridden used bike, by the way it is a 1992. What I do know is that a tire in the weight category of the Voyager XII should have a tire with a strong sidewall on it or you could be looking at early sidewall failure. It is more of a safety issue than anything else. If you have put a tire on your Voyager XII with a high speed rating and soft sided sidewall, all of us old timers of the bike world will pray for you and your passengers!
