Subject: Flat tire and center stand

I recently had a rear flat tire and found it impossible to get my bike on the center stand. I am otherwise pretty good at using my centerstand but found it impossible to use with the flat tire.

I was thinking of carrying with me a wooden ramp of sorts to drive up on in order to take advantage of the stand while locating the tire hole and repairing it while on the side of the road. By driving the flattened tire up a short piece of angled 2x4 it would the center stand back in play.

Has anyone tried this or perhaps there is some other trick you use that you could share, and if you have devised such a ramp what dimensions did you use? I picked a nail this past weekend and with the tire pressure only down to 20 psig it was difficult to get the bike on the stand.
