I had a rear go flat on me and after all was said and done I think I would have felt a lot more comfortable leaving the bike on the sidestand. Reason being that with all the force used to ream out the hole where the nail had been and then pushing to get the plug in the hole and seated, I felt like the bike almost wanted to roll forward and off the centerstand. So, as mentioned, I would probably leave it in gear and on the sidestand if I had any flats in the future. Just my $0.02!
