I'm sure glad you have had good luck with your Metzlers, the ones I have had really s*cked!! Both times I have had the 880s on the rear tire they have started throwing chunks of tread after about 10K. Metzler won't acknowledge the problem with them (my experience hasn't been the only one) and keep saying that it is because of low air pressure. Now I usually run my rear tires about 42 - 44 psi so I don't think that is the problem! Anyway, I will never have another set of 880s and I know of several bike shops who refuse to even order them because of this problem. Just my $0.02! BTW, I do LOVE the Avons!
