I must be from the old school although I ain't that old. LOL I was taught to always hold in the clutch lever when starting any bike (electric or kick start). It was one of those "old school" safety things taught back in the day. It's one of those habits that I have done to this day. So Bill is correct that it is an issue of safety for me and maybe I am the only one that thinks that way. Which is fine. That's what makes us all unique and individual.

Keep it between the ditches and under yer britches!
