Subject: battery draining

This is my first time on this site and I think it is great. I've had my '98 Voyager 12 since last summer and have put about 3,000 miles on it. It's been running great, except a few weeks ago I found the battery was draining overnight. My Kawasaki dealer went over the whole thing and found the battery good, the charging system working great and they cleaned up some connections. Took her out for a 250 mile ride and no trouble. Next day, battery's drained again. Are there a couple of good places to look first for a short? My mechanic's going to redo the process for another $200; I wish I could offer him a suggestion. Any thoughts?
