Subject: Another Brake Problem

Riding in downtown Columbus Ohio Last Sat. heard grinding in front brakes. Stopped using front breaks on the way home and heard grinding in back brakes. I bought the 2002 Voyager new, and it has the OEM brakes on it with 12,000 miles. I read in the achives that they can go bad at 8000 miles. I am planning to replace all three sets of pads. I would like some input on the grinding sound as opposed to a squeal. I would also appreciate any comments on what to look for when I do the brakes and where to buy replacement pads. Thanks in advance for any help.
