The clock and radio memory do put a drain on the battery. Most folks including me are using a floating battery tender if the bike is not ridden for a while. It shuts off completely when the battery is charged and only comes on as needed. You might also make sure the trunk light is not staying on. The micro switch sometimes moves and keeps the light on.
