I think I know the bolt you are talking about.
It looks like some kind of factory adjustment.
It is staked to insure it doesn't change & the manual makes no mention of it.
It doesn't look like the type of thing that would leak, but you never know.
Seems like I'm surprised just about every day.

The large seal, the one on the wheel side, was leaking on mine.
I had a heck of a time getting the old one out.
The new one leaked, just a few drops, for a thousand miles or so but it is fine now, it probably had to seat in.
I use synthetic oil, it might have seated faster with the regular stuff.
