Subject: Speedo cable routing

Having removed the forks for svc, I cannot recall if the speedo cable routes between the forks or outside the left fork. Looking at pics, it appears 'either' is the ans. But, one must be the correct way????

I noticed there is a tag on the diff which gives a warning and to use GL-5 80w lube. Now I'm wondering if it would be less noisy with the specified oil? I use 75/90 dino now. I tried mobil 1 diff lube, but I thought it tended to leak and didn't run quieter.

The book gives a 6k engine oil change interval. I've been doing less than 2k, but with the prices now, I'm wondering. What is a reasonable interval? I use Rotella T 15w40. Thanks to all.
