I have rebuilt a few driveshaft Vulcans and they are virtually the same part if not the exact same part. I have always used the black high pressure molybdenum grease on the forward end. I cannot imagine any case where two metal parts that rub together are put on dry. Have your driveshafts been apart before? maybe this is the reason that it is dry. Joe
