What I underrated was the non footballing skills of someone like Anderson. Palace aren’t playing badly, but the leadership and characters needed to edge close results is missing a little, whilst I feel ours have moved positively. Probably why we set him as our main target, his passing big tick, defending cross big tick, but his really big tick is his leadership and organisation, makes especially the back 4 look better and Leno looks calmer. Strange this because when we played them at the Cottage (still have mental blackout over their equaliser) i thought he looked very ordinary and slow . Shows what a change of clubs can do or perhaps he just had a bad day (NT) -- PW, Tuesday, October 01, 09:39:43am (NoHost/163.116.162.217)

This is my point, I thought we’d overpaid for him given his age and he is quite slow, but what’s easy to glaze over is the non-technical/physical characteristics which you need when facing an aerial bombardment from forest, plus our back 4 doesn’t actually play that high, certainly not like a spurs/BHA or even palace, so lack of pace maybe not as big an issue, also a reason I reckon palace let him go.
