Subject: Seems funny to think that back in the 80s there were more Fulham fans, seven, in my school in Langley Berks than a school in Clapham. Thought SW London was a Fulham heartland according to someone on here?
In reply to: JimĀ© 's message, "I think the generation thing is pretty key. At at school of 750 odd in Clapham, there were approx 4 Fulham fans in 1991. So notable were we, that the headmaster at the time, Peter Thompson a lifelong FFC fan, wrote about us in his book "Following Fulham Away". My name's there in Black & White. But we were laughed at in the main as no hopers, basically because after that brief promise we showed early 80s it was all downhill from there until 2000. That's a long time to lose a fanbase from." on Thursday, April 20, 04:24:58pm
