Subject: Sorry but why would safe standing be any cheaper than sitting given your essentially going to be taking up the same space? Granted it'll be cheaper than sitting at one of the sides but dont see why it would be cheaper say if it was at the back of the Hammy end rather than the seats in front. Secondly it isnt the same as when we started as you could move freely within the stand then and you cant now you are given a specific spot to stand in so you'd need a certain gradient to make sure a short person was able to see over a beanpole in front, in Germany that's not such an issue as the grounds tend to be much bigger but would be interesting how it would work at the Cottage with the stands currently as they are (probably better implemented in the Putney end due to gradient). Personally not against the idea of safe standing but its never going to bring back the way the old terraces where.
