Subject: This is where we differ on the luck/decent opposition keeper performance thing this season. I didnt think the forest keeper had a blinder. Made a few good saves but nothing unbelievable. West Brom keeper had a stormer, to be fair. Saturday - again, the keeper made a few decent saves but nothing amazing - the one against Reid at the death was absolutely more to do with poor finishing. I agree with your assessment of Betts - but again, i dont call that bad luck, its just a player not playing well enough because maybe he's not good enough.
In reply to: Jim© (The Devon IP) 's message, "Whilst it's not always the case, I'd say that the Forest keeper had a blinder, the West Brom keeper made a few very decent saves, Charlton keeper made a good few classy ones. I know it's overly simplistic, but add those points to our total and we'd be clear by miles. Those three performances were better than expected GK performances IMO- they happen I accept that. On the other side of the coin, Betts has, to my mind, had one good game v Wednesday and an OK game v Reading. The rest?" on Tuesday, October 08, 12:10:00pm
