Subject: I did say “taking a wider view” and also stated that age should be taken in to account. Any economic change will take years to recover from and will impoverish the least wealthy, the most. History tells us that. I for one do not want to live the rest of my life witnessing my children and grand children living in poverty, worse than my grand parents. The numbers are terrible. No money means no money. we have 66 billion people in the uk I doubt many will want the reality of no heating in winter.
In reply to: HemelRog 's message, "I am seventy two next month and am pre diabetic.I have also had two heart attacks and have been fitted with numerous stents. This despite having never smoked, driven a car or eaten much rubbish. My wife is a NHS medical secretary and is working from home. They are trying to pressure her into going in one day a week. She has refused.I wouldn’t expect anything else. One of my sons works for the NHS and has moved in with his brother. This brother is NEil who has posted above. He is a special needs teacher and cannot see his five year old daughter who has cystic fibrosis.Deeney is quite right to refuse and if he hasn’t got enough money to do so I would be very surprised. The whole world economy will be rubber ducked not just ours.Hopefully this pandemic will wake us up to the ridiculous way we live and bring some changes both in lifestyle and the financial order." on Friday, May 22, 10:53:12am
