Subject: Finances, big earners and Parker

What will our financial situation be in the Championship next season? It's pretty obvious to me that we're destinted for failure with Parker at the helm and with a list of unsustainable high earners on the books and parachute payments a departing luxury, what type of resources can we expect after inevitable sales to rebuild?

It's doubtful Mitro will command much over £20 million (if we're very lucky) and who will give us anything for cairney taking into account his age, declining performances and substantial contract? Personally, they can both leave as far as I'm concerned. Football is subjective and I realise the two of them are rated by many ffc fans, but they seldom offer anything when it really counts these days. Cairney is annoymous for the most part and Mitro is a very limited forward who is useless when the ball is played into his feet and slows everything down.

Even if we wanted to retain these two, the likelihood of it being possible is remote. And then we have all the other big earners to consider. It's beyond belief that Parker was given the job in such a critical season. What on earth was Khan thinking? Haven't enough managerial mistakes been made to fall prey to another inexplicable appointment? It's bewildering to say the least and was most infuriatingly predictable as the archives will testify.

Given the speed at which the axe was swung with Ranieri, why won't the Khan's replace Parker now? If they thought it was possible to save our Premier league status with just a handful of games to play by changing managers, surely the same mindset is applicable with our promotion hopes this season? Chris Houghton is available, experienced and has an excellent CV for getting teams promoted. Give him the last 7 games and play offs to see what he can do for us. And if we fail, at least the club will be in safe hands next season with the best possible chance of making the best out of what will presumably be difficult financial circumstances. And there's still Slavisa (isn't there some rumour about him being offered another Championship job?)

As much as it pains me to say, you have to admire Brentford. Their set up, recruitment and style of play is admirable for such a small club. Lessons to be learned.

What are the Khan's up to and what are they waiting for? None of it makes an ounce of sense.
