Subject: That's a difficult place to grow up in. There will always be people who gamble, and there are a myriad of reasons why people do gamble, but it has never been so easy to gamble as it is now. It's the industry that is the problem. Paddy Power and his chummy, laddish adverts realing people in. The industry has gone from being accepted to be heavily marketed.
In reply to: Glide 's message, "My Dad should have been a wealthy man, had a scrap yard after the war and earned real money every day scrapping all the unwanted war effort machines, by 2 in the morning he was skint having done the lot on down at the White City dog racing or in the Bookies. Mum worked in a shop and kept us fed and clothed. Gambling addiction is terrible and never leaves you, even when the good times are gone, just the bets become smaller. It's not a new thing." on Monday, October 11, 01:48:59pm
