Author: Bristol City in Div 1 1976-80
Author Host/IP: host86-130-22-220.range86-130.btcentralplus.com / 86.130.22.220
Subject: City massively dominate S Bristol although there are more Gas than you might expect in postwar estates like Knowle West and Hartcliffe. Gas traditional heartlands are in the east. Eastville, Easton, St George, Whitehall, Kingswood, Warmley, Hanham, Mangotsfield etc. You'll find more City than Gas in N and NW Bristol these days. Plenty of City even in Horfield, Ashley Down, Bishopston etc. Much more City support than Gas in Somerset.
In reply to: b+w g. 's message, "Fair enough and actually by Somerset, I really meant further south, towards Taunton and the coast. But Rovers were always east, agreed. And if that's about it nowadays, even if they are situated northwards, that reflects decades of relative performance." on Tuesday, June 24, 06:04:01pm
