- Not so easy at 35 with no educational qualifications and no experience outside football. If it's a choice between squeezing every last penny out of your footballing career or leaving money on the table to be a "loyal club servant" or whatever, I know which one I'd take.   - Why can’t they re qualify? They train 3-4 hours a day, so much free time. Or start planning whilst playing, just need motivation to do it. How do other sportsmen manage? Also coaching/media opportunities are there for many, not like it’s retire and that’s it, there are avenues for those willing.     - Of course they can. But, it's not exactly that easy. The last 40 years have taught us how hard it is for people whose industry has disappeared or left them behind to re-qualify and do something else. We're living in a world rife with political movements who have tapped into just such communities who dealt with the lie that its such a simple solution.   - Hardly any prem clubs operate at a profit because of wages . The Muniz scandal is basically agents trying to batten on to the rare potential profit that comes from selling a great player bought cheaply . Yes Muniz should have had a huge pay rise in return for a longer contract but the agents see more potential profit from getting him sold off on the cheap to a rival club . That’s basically what we are seeing being played out here . The club hopefully can do everyone a favour by resisting .
