Subject: Of course they can. But, it's not exactly that easy. The last 40 years have taught us how hard it is for people whose industry has disappeared or left them behind to re-qualify and do something else. We're living in a world rife with political movements who have tapped into just such communities who dealt with the lie that its such a simple solution. And the ability to retrain doesn't contradict the point I'm making about players wanting to maximize contract over all else.
