Subject: It does'nt matter if it's the existing football elite, or the emeging football elites (same people?). What do you think has motivated the creation of this new competition? European clubs have plenty of domestic and European competitions that they enter already, surely this is about previously untapped broadcasting revenues, and giving the Saudi League clubs a foot hold in top competition. It does little for a club like Fulham, or the average supporter of a club like ours.
In reply to: Henry1879 's message, "But it’s a world club cup, I’m not sure what you expect, they have earned their right by meeting the qualifying criteria. If it was the rich feeding the rich why not get Arsenal, Liv etc involved and bin off the Central Americans, Asian teams, Auckland etc. It’s just a real Eurocentric view, same old big clubs, completely ignoring the 10s of participants who don’t get the same oppurtunity and love the competition because it isn’t just Europe, it does get them involved." on Sunday, June 29, 11:49:12am
