We are stronger because they have differential sets but both very good players. I also thought Lukic was excellent Saturday.     • Definitely an excellent compliment. I've been somewhat a Bassey skeptic, thinking that he stands out because of superb last ditch tackles he shouldn't actually have to make with better positioning.   • I watched the game live (in Spain). I doubt most people use stats to advise their decision on voting for MOM, simply gut feel. It was clear that our defence were the contenders and it's about the moments that catch your attention. I suspect if I watched the full 90 minutes again later I might reach a different decision. I actually found this a very difficult choice but personally voted for Kenny, who didn't even make the top three. Andersen and Lukic could have as easily been my choice. • Proof that stats can be misleading. You had Andersen as man of the match, but Bassey was "unimpressive" because he made one less interception and blocked one fewer shots?   • Not quite what I'm saying I had Andersen overall man of the match on the day, not looking at stats, but not based only on his defense but how amazing he was on the ball. He's still MoM in my mind. But I thought Bassey was head-and-shoulders the best defender but Andersen's stats are out of this world. Yes, I do think stats can lie and this was one example.
