Precisely. Its the same as when refs are appointed to matches involving clubs from their area. I'm sure there is no bias (at least most of the time, mark Halsey), but why even create that question? Why have someone from greater manchester reffing a Man Utd game when you can have a referee thats not from greater Manchester doing it?
