Kylie Minogue, Mika to rock Miss Universe finale
Australian singer Kylie Minogue is scheduled to perform in the final show of Miss Universe 2008 at Diamond Bay’s Crown Convention Center in Nha Trang.
Australian superstar singer Kylie Minogue and Britain’s new prodigy Mika will perform in the final show of this year’s Miss Universe pageant, said organizers.
Minogue is an Australian pop singer-songwriter and occasional actress.
She rose to prominence in the late 1980s upon commencing a career as a pop artist in 1987.
She has achieved superstar status with worldwide hits including “Better the devil you know” and “Can’t get you out of my head.”
In 2005, Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer but overcame the disease to release her tenth studio album entitled “X” in November 2007.
She has recently completed her KylieX2008 world tour.
Minogue was dubbed Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Prince Charles and Knight of the Order of Arts and Literature by French Minister of Culture Christine Albanel earlier this year.
Mika, whose real name is Mica Penniman, is a Lebanese-born, London-based, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter.
He rose to fame around the end of 2006 with songs like “Grace Kelly” and “Relax, take it easy.”
In 2007, Mika won three awards, the most of any artist, at the World Music Awards – the annual ceremony where awards are given to the biggest selling recording artists internationally.
To date he is the first artist to have won three World Music Awards in one year.
The final show, to be broadcast live worldwide on America’s NBC channel tomorrow morning, will also feature the 2007 VH1 Soul/VIBE Awards winner Robin Thicke.
In related news, the jurors of the final telecast have been revealed with the panel including Miss Universe 2004 Jennifer Hawkins, leading fashion designer Roberto Cavalli and tycoon Donald Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr.
The sole Vietnamese juror for the final show, to be held at Diamond Bay’s Crown Convention Center in coastal Nha Trang beach town, is Thanh Nien’s Editor-in Chief Nguyen Cong Khe.

Cassandra and Janet are back with their final review! (Part I)

Cassandra: Good evening everyone, I’m Cassandra Porto.
Janet: And I am Janet Sullivan, reporting from Nha Trang, Vietnam.
Cassandra: After a couple of days watching the candidates in rehearsals, pre-tapings and talking to some of them, it’s time for us to share some thoughts and prognostics with you.
Janet: That’s right Cassandra, and let me tell you! Some of these girls are taking it way too serious! I was told that one contestant was caught in the act doing witchcraft with another contestant’s photo, can you believe it??
Cassandra: This is scary, Janet! Oh my God!
Janet: But let’s get straight to business, that is, beauty business!
Cassandra: Janet, what do you think of Albania?
Janet: I think she is incredibly photogenic, especially when there’s Photoshop to help…
Cassandra: I know, and although she sounds genuine, she lacks some glamour, it’s hard to explain…
Janet: But she is different, and perhaps for that reason, she is popular in Vietnam. This girl has style. Peculiar style that is, but she does have it.
Cassandra: But will it be enough? She has a few evident extra pounds and her evening gown is not exactly among the best ones we've seen …
Cassandra: Angola, a country which has been doing consistently well in pageants lately…
Janet: I like her, I think she is well groomed and prepared, but I am not sure she has that X-factor to stand out in such a strong group of delegates.
Cassandra: And I was told she gained at least 6 pounds in the last 3 weeks!
Cassandra: Ok, from Africa to the Caribbean, let’s move to Antigua and Barbuda…
Janet: This girl needs serious help in the hair and make-up department!
Cassandra: I agree, but on the other hand, it’s great to see Antigua & Barbuda back, and she has such an aura!
Janet: She is a long shot, but I have a feeling she could be a nice surprise.
Cassandra: If so, here goes a little piece of advice to her: girl, please find another dress!!!
Cassandra: Argentina is a country crying for help when it comes to pageants! It has so much potential, and what we see in Miss Universe and Miss World is definitely not the very best this South American country with a taste of Europe has to offer!
Janet: I hope Miss Argentina doesn’t hate us, it’s not personal AT ALL! She is a cute girl who might have been thrown in Vietnam, clueless of what she’s there for. Her evening gown was a disaster. No chance on the universe for her…
Cassandra: I like Aruba, the girl who bites her nails!
Janet: Yes, just like me! I like her too. She is spontaneous and looks very sexy and ‘Caribbean’, without desperately trying to do so.
Cassandra: Her gown is nice, not outstanding, but nice. It suits her well.
Janet: But will she be up there? Honestly, I don’t think so.
Cassandra: Australia, the girl from Down Under, looks just fabulous!
Janet: I know, look at that long, perfect legs!! Just like Jennifer’s!
Cassandra: I was amazed to see that she looks even more stunning in person than she does in photos. Top 5 to me.
Janet: I agree. I just love her, and think she could do it again for Australia, 4 years after Jennifer did it in Ecuador.
Janet: I have a question for Miss Bahamas – Girl, why did you dye your hair?? You were such a gorgeous blonde!
Cassandra: Janet, she was one of my pre-pageant favorites, but with darker hair, although still beautiful, she lost some spice…
Janet: I really like her sultry voice and the sweet, and at the same time confident, look in her eyes.
Cassandra: She is a bit too short though.
Cassandra: Next we have Belgium…
Janet: This girl is absolutely stunning, certainly one to watch out for!
Cassandra: Her evening gown is chic, she looks like a diva from those old, great movies!
Janet: But, she did not project well in the preliminary competition. She lacked energy, that “hey, I am here to win” quality that girls not as pretty as her have.
Cassandra: I still think she could, but I am not sure she will…
Janet: Miss Bolivia has very strong facial features, which is not necessarily bad, she is very unique and beautiful…
Cassandra: She is that sexy Latina which many men wish they had living next door!
Janet: She is, isn’t she? Her gown is not my favorite, but it looks great on her.
Cassandra: I don’t believe she will make the cut, though.
Janet: Brazil comes next, what do you think of her, Cassandra?
Cassandra: We have already said it, her performance in the preliminary event was flawless. In my opinion Miss Brazil will, the least to say, be in the Top 10.
Janet: Watching her today there’s one thing I must point out: she must be more confident, see in herself what others have been seeing. Then she will be ready to go!
Cassandra: I like Miss Canada. I think she has an international look, she could be Latin, Middle Eastern, Italian…
Janet: Nice gown choice in the preliminaries. In my opinion she is a possibility for the Top 15.
Cassandra: Miss Cayman Islands is a beautiful woman, but looks older than most other girls.
Janet: She has that ‘Miss America contestant’ look, which usually does not work in Miss Universe.
Cassandra: China!
Janet: I love China’s elegant posture. She is very elegant and confident.
Cassandra: A bit too skinny in bathing suit, but who knows…
Janet: Colombia has the complete package!
Cassandra: I know, she saved her best for the time and it really mattered, and I think she could take it all.
Janet: I agree, she has a perfect body, a beautiful face, the right moves in the runway, and she shows that she wants it!
Cassandra: Colombia is living a good political moment too, so perhaps it’s the perfect time for Colombians to celebrate its 2nd title, exactly 50 years after its first, and so far, only one.
Janet: Costa Rica?
Cassandra: She is the typical pretty Latin girl who does not stand out. She has a face we’ve seen hundreds of times in this and in other international beauty pageants…
Janet: Croatia is so gorgeous, but also so dead…
Cassandra: I know! She simply did not work it in the Preliminary Event!
Janet: Isn’t Curaçao lovely, Cassandra?
Cassandra: I love her face, but she should have gone on a diet…
Janet: But she’s cute, I love her smile.
Cassandra: Miss Cyprus has the model type, I like her body language.
Janet: She is a great runway model. I wonder if the judges will like her as a ‘miss’…
Cassandra: Czech Republic, Janet…
Janet: I personally love this girl! She should be getting more attention, she is gorgeous and did quite well in the preliminaries.
Cassandra: I confess that she wasn’t on the top of my list when the Presentation Show happened, but re-watching the show on TV, I have came to realize that she can easily sneak into the Top 15.
Cassandra: I adore Miss Denmark!
Janet: I know! She is one of the very few Europeans with sparkle and confidence shining through her eyes.
Cassandra: Eye on her then!
Cassandra: Another girl we should not lose sight of is Miss Dominican Republic. She has a body to die for and a great personality.
Janet: Her face is very pretty too. Although her gown was more proper for a drag queen contest, she managed to wear it well.
Cassandra: Isn’t it what it’s all about? Kudos for her!
Janet: She will make it.
Cassandra: Miss Ecuador has a very interesting face, her eyebrows are amazing!
Janet: Eyebrows, Cassandra?
Cassandra: I am serious! Take a second look at this sexy Latina beauty!
Janet: I do agree she looks fab, a girl who would be a sho-in in Miss Earth or Miss Tourism Queen. I am not sure though if she will be good enough in such a strong Miss Universe group…
Cassandra: How about the controversial Miss Egypt??
Janet: Controversies apart, I don’t think this girl has it…
Cassandra: Regardless of how good Miss Egypt’s looks, I must say that, although I love Ines Ligron and admire her for the great work she’s been doing in Japan, she should watch her mouth and fingers! As a national director she should be more diplomatic and respectable to other contestants.
Cassandra: Yes, Ms. Ligron, leave the dirt to us! Right, Janet??
Janet: Absolutely, it's our job after all!!
Cassandra: And now we arrive at tiny-little-mini Miss El Salvador!!
Janet: She would be perfect for a 1960’s petit beauty contest!
Cassandra: Yes, she does have that 1960’s look, even the hair style!
Janet: Estonia is a girl with style.
Cassandra: And for this reason I wouldn’t count her out. In some ways she reminds me of the great Estonian girl who surprisingly made the cut in 2000 and then became everyone’s favorite.
Janet: But still, at this point she is a very long shot.
Cassandra: Then we have sexy Miss Finland!
Janet: She is one of those very few women who a few extra pounds make her look even sexier!
Cassandra: Yes, don’t we hate her for that, Janet??
Janet: We do! (both laugh) She is stunning though!
Cassandra: From chubby to skinny, next is Miss France!
Janet: As we said before she is a very elegant young woman. I like her.
Cassandra: Some believe she could be in Top 15, I’d say with a 15% chance, but yes, she could!
Janet: Georgia, a candidate who hasn’t been talked about at all, but who I get to like.
Cassandra: It’s such a strong group! Who said it was weak??
Janet: Ines…
Cassandra: Oh, right… (both laugh)
Janet: Honestly, last year’s group was lousy in my view. This is one is one of the best groups Miss Universe has been able to assemble in the last 10 years!
Cassandra: Germany’s face is to die for!
Janet: I’ve spoken to her, and she is very smart too.
Cassandra: A bit too short though, which might hurt her chances here.
Janet: Ghana is a bright young woman with a beautiful face.
Cassandra: Yes, but not one of the tallest, and way out of shape. I don’t think it will happen for her…
Janet: Greece, if not stunning as last year’s Greek goddess, she has something going for her.
Cassandra: Height, a pleasant personality and stage presence, that is. But if last year’s candidate was left in the ice, what will happen to this on?
Janet: Now on to the very cool Miss Guam!
Cassandra: Guam returns to Miss Universe with a cool and well groomed contestant. I like her, although I don’t think she will do it.
Janet: Guatemala, Cassandra.
Cassandra: Is Guatemala competing? Oh, right... Sorry, but she totally falls into Miss Costa Rica’s league - without the sashes, I couldn’t tell who is who…
Janet: Right - pretty, but common.
Cassandra: Honduras has a pretty face, but I though her gown did not help her.
Janet: Way too simple. Pretty girl, but another long, long shot…
Cassandra: Hey Missn Hungary, what’s up with stealing your niece’s shower curtain and wear it as a evening gown??
Janet: Oh Cassandra!!! Don’t be so mean!
Cassandra: I must be, Janet! That dress nearly blinded by sensitive eyes!!
Janet: Lovely India is next!
Cassandra: This is a gorgeous woman, who prevailed over another horrible gown.
Janet: I don’t think her gown wasn't that horrible. I have Miss India on the top of my list, I see her as... let's say, 2nd runner-up.
Cassandra: Let’s see how good your crystal ball is, Janet!
Janet: Miss Indonesia did well in her gown presentation.
Cassandra: Yes she did. But will it be enough for her?
Janet: How about Miss Ireland?
Cassandra: The queen of the runway! I absolutely love this girl and think she could surprise more than one tomorrow morning.
Janet: I agree, Cassandra. Pageant lovers naturally pay attention to girls with ‘sash power’ and occasionally miss on some great contenders from countries where beauty contests are not necessarily popular. Miss Ireland is a perfect example of that.
Cassandra: Miss Universe hasn’t had a truly stunning winner since Natalie Glebova, in 2005. I think Miss Israel is one of the totally stunning girls competing this year! She will make the cut if there’s justice in this pageant, and for some reason, I can picture the Miss Universe crown on her head.
Janet: I wouldn’t go that far, Cassandra, but I do think she is a strong possibility for a top 15 or even top 10 placement.
Cassandra: How about la bella Italia??
Janet: I see her as that ‘B’ student, do you know what I mean? Good, correct, but not outstanding.
Cassandra: Right, and with such a strong group of girls, if your are not outstanding, your chances are limited…
Janet: What about Miss Jamaica?
Cassandra: Wait, Janet, I'm on the phone... Something INCREDIBLE CAME UP!!
Janet: Hum, what could that be?? Well, we will take a break. Come back later to find out what what it is and for the second part of our review. Bye for now!

Cassandra: Janet, I’m afraid I can’t tell you what I’ve just been told. I am still shaking.

Cassandra: Let’s talk about the lovely Miss Jamaica, a good surprise in the preliminaries.
Janet: She is sexy, cool, I like this girl as well.
Cassandra: Japan, the first of two Ines’ angels, how do you like her, Janet?
Janet: Japan’s presentation in gown was once again very innovating, that’s Ines specialty, coaching beauty queens of the XXI century!
Cassandra: In swimsuit I think she would’ve been better off if 3 or 4 pounds lighter…
Janet: Another thing I noticed about her is that she does not exude confidence on the runway like most of her predecessors. I’m not sure if the Japanese streak will continue…
Cassandra: Kazakhstan, the girl who really knows how to work the crowd!
Janet: This is a strong candidate, Miss Kazakhstan is super sexy and has an amazing catwalk. She is in my list of top favorites.
Cassandra: I see her in the top 15 as well.
Janet: Now Korea, Ines’ second angel…
Cassandra: Korea is very cute, but I think she overdoes it in the runway.
Janet: Yes, it looks like she is trying too hard, she should tone down a bit.
Cassandra: Other than that, I like her and see her as a possibility for a top 15 spot.
Janet: Then the first ever Miss Kosovo Universe, the girl with the “hate me, cause I am beautiful” look…
Cassandra (laughing): Right, Janet! She has charm, glamour, and a face to die for. But her body is below average, she is too big in the thighs and hips.
Janet: Yes, but still, I think we will see her up there.
Cassandra: Malaysia looks better in person than she does on photos.
Janet: Yes, good for her!
Cassandra: She is kind of sexy, I like her.
Janet: Yeah, yeah, who’s next?
Cassandra: Mauritius is next.
Janet: Ok, and next?
Cassandra: Janet!!
Janet: Ok, I am being bad… but for an overweight girl, her gown choice was catastrophic!
Cassandra: True, she looked like a walking wedding cake…
Janet: Back to real contenders, Mexico is next!
Cassandra: Janet, Mexico is amazing! So elegant, classy, and even if she’s not, she looks natural. She would be an awesome Miss Universe!
Janet: I give Mexico a perfect 10. Nothing to add or remove from her.
Cassandra: you go, girl!
Janet: Montenegro has experience and a great placement in her resume – she was Miss Tourism Queen’s 3rd runner-up.
Cassandra: She looks great on the runway and has a very cool attitude.
Janet: She is certainly in the game.

Janet: I rather go for more natural beauties, but a top 15 or top 10 for Miss Puerto Rico, would be fair.

Janet: With one of the best performances in the Presentation Show, I believe Miss Thailand will go far in the competition.
Cassandra: I bet she will. She is not only beautiful, but also very charming. Her beauty hypnotizes you!
Janet: Contestants from Trinidad & Tobago are pros in Miss Universe, and this girl is no exception!
Cassandra: Watch out for her, it will be no surprise to see her placing in the top 15.

Cassandra: It’s sad to think of the many beautiful women who will have to be left in the ice this year…

Janet: I know that logic doesn’t necessarily applies to pageants, but this Ukrainian candidate is way superior to the last two ones, and both placed among the top 15, in 2006 and 2007.
Cassandra: You are right, if logic does apply, we will se this one in the Top 5, although 2008 is much more competitive than the last couple of years.
Janet: I’ve been told Uruguay is one of the few girls who gained weight while in Vietnam.
Cassandra: What I don’t get is the fact that this woman is a model, so why go for the conservative look on the Miss Universe stage? I expected more from her!
Janet: Miss USA is such a doll! She is even more stunning in person than in photos or on video! And what a sweet personality she has!
Cassandra: One of the top favorites to win, Miss USA has her act together. She will be in the top 5, then, it will be really up to the judges and what they are looking for. Miss USA rocks!
Janet: One question I must ask: wouldn’t it be way too ironic to have an American victory in Vietnam??

Janet: I just think she should tone down her moves on the runway. She overdid them in the preliminary competition, and she simply doesn’t need to catch any more attention than she naturally does.

Podrian publicar la ultima predicción de los videntes o gente que ve el futuro, hace unos meses escribieron cosas que acertaron pero a medias, me gustaria saber lo ultimo de esos videntes
Por fin después de tanta espera ya estamos próximos a conocer a la nueva Miss Universe. Este año no lo he podido disfrutar como se debe por mis múltiples ocupaciones pero después de sentarme a detallar he llegado a la conclusión de que a diferencia de lo que se pensaba LA CONTIENDA DE BELLEZA 2008 resulto un fraude pues no es tan reñida y muchas de las que venían siendo favoritas desde la antesala del concurso se desinflaron en el transcurso de la carrera hacia la corona dejándole el camino abierto a los batacazos que se perfilan fijos a la noche final. En este sentido y sin más nada que decir al respecto y habiendo ya evaluado estas ya casi cuatro semanas de concurso he llegado a las siguientes conclusiones:
DESEPCIONARON:
- ALBANIA: el camaleón resulto iguana pues sin maquillaje es bien común, por lo tanto debe maquillarse al máximo para resaltar y la hace lucir BIEN FALSA Y PRODUCIDA. Es segura y tiene actitud lo que no se puede negar pero con esa cara de vieja no gana ni que quiera.
- BELGICA: una rubia mas del montón que no brilla para nada. Perdió la oportunidad de su vida PORQUE BELLA ES PERO LE FALTO PREPARACIÓN. Ni modo, esperemos lo haya disfrutado.
- BRASIL: sigue siendo bella PERO LE FALTA PILAS Y ACTITUD. No cuenta con una personalidad que le haga resaltar. Pero se puede salvar.
- FRANCIA: otra que le falto preparación y se la llevo la fregada. Aunque también se puede salvar.
- PANAMÁ: se esperaba más de ella pero tampoco brilla. Aunque con ella nada esta perdido y puede llegar a la final. Tan solo es que se esperaba más de lo que dio.
- REPUBLICA DOMINICANA: la muchacha va fija para la final porque no pasa desapercibida con esa estampa y porte PERO YO LA VEIA GANADORA y después de su desempeño a lo más que la veo es a TOP 5.
BATACAZOS:
- AUSTRALIA: es una muñeca perfecta quien siempre esta sonreída y sencilla sin muchos artificios. Mosca con ella.
- INDIA: su cambio de look le favoreció al máximo y nadie había notado esa sobriedad que se gasta. La veo fija a la final.
- MÉXICO: después de ganar ese premio se disparo en favoritismo y a mi la verdad no me termina de convencer del todo PERO SERIA TONTO NO INCLUIRLA pues tiene lo suyo y es una mujer que gusta.
- NORUEGA: bella y simpática lo que le puede ayudar en sus aspiraciones.
- REPUBLICA ESLOVAKA: otra belleza que luce con una sobriedad y elegancia que espantan cuestión que nadie o pocos le habían notado. Mosca también aunque creo que exageran al decir que puede ganar pues a mi juicio le falta actitud de triunfadora y creerse el cuento de que puede ser Miss Universe.
NO GUSTA:
- PUERTO RICO: sigo sin entender porque muchos la incluyen cuando es una mujer COMUN Y SILVESTRE con la cara siempre brillante y un arreglo nada favorecedor que es graciosita y ya. No merece quedar.
GANADORAS:
- VENEZUELA: sin regionalismo y con la mayor objetividad del caso la nuestra merece llevarse la corona con todas las de la ley. Siempre decimos que la nuestra merece ganar PORQUE LUCEN REGIAS Y PREPARADAS pero este año existe un factor adicional que no se veía desde la participación de Alicia Machado y es la PERSONALIDAD ingrediente por demás indispensable en una MISS UNIVERSE y por ende DAYANA MENDOZA las tiene todas consigo. Sabemos que tenemos nuestras reservas PORQUE EN ESTE CONCURSO CUALQUIER COSA PUEDE PASAR por algo aun no entendemos como RIYO MORY LE GANO A LYDIMAR JONAITIS quien carecía de espontaneidad pero demostró con creces ser mejor que quienes quedaron por enzima de ella, por lo tanto no afirmamos nada pero de virreina no pasara y esperemos que si debemos conformarnos con ese puesto sea porque de verdad quien le gane se lo merezca.
- COLOMBIA: hablando de merecer, junto con la nuestra, esta representante del país hermano también luce ganadora por bella, por simpática, por segura, desenvuelta e inteligente PA QUE MAS.
- MISS UNIVERSE 2008: se queda en Latinoamérica y veo agarradas de las manos a estos dos países queriendo ver coronada a la nuestra por supuesto pero me sentiría también alegre de que los colombianos tengan su segunda MISS UNIVERSE. He dichoooooooo….

La candidata de Egipto es realmente un dolor de cabeza para todo en el certamen de Miss Universo. Pueden imaginarse que le dio una cachetada por error a la actual Miss Universo Riyo Mori.
Todo ocurrió durante el ensayo del espectáculo de la noche final. Riyo se paro sobre el traje de la candidata de Egipto por equivocación cuando de repente sintió una cachetada en su rostro.
Cuando Miss Egipto se dio cuanta a quien había golpeado por poco muere de la vergüenza. Muy amablemente Riyo le dijo que debe tener cuidado y que nunca lo vuelva a hacer hacia nadie.
Tan bien dicen que esta candidata parece una chimenea. La compañera de cuarto es Canadá y le ha pedido innumerablemente que pare de fumar el cuarto a lo que Miss Egipto respondió: "Este es mi cuarto también y no voy a parar de hacerlo". Este Miss Universo es uno para la historia...

*Muchas mises presentaran problemas estomacales, problemas de salud en Vietnam.
*Hay 2 mises europeas que se retiraran a ultima hora o seran suplantadas.
*Miss Venezuela (DAYANA MENDOZA) su gran fuerte sigo viendo es la escena,ella demostrara un espiritu de una joven que hace tiempo no se veia en una Miss Venezuela,los colores citricos le favorecen,ademas de los colores ocres,dorados ya que estos le dan estabilidad en la tierra, su mayor momento sera ne traje de baño donde ella sentira mas seguridad que nunca y se hara sentir.Dayana y dos latinas mas sentiran la envidia sobre ellas y Dayana debe cuidarse muy bien de con quien habla,Venezuela se hara sentir nuevamente con mucha fuerza, Dayana debe solo manejar la impaciencia y su caracter. Si Dayana maneja su espontaneidad como debe ser tendremos miss universo nuevamente.

*MISS REPUBLICA DOMINICANA:Humildad es su bandera,aunque estara mal asesorada en cuanto a vestuario,ella se sentira fuera de lugar en Vietnam, la veo de color pasteles, especialmente el blanco le favorece.
*COLOMBIA lleva una candidata que habia tiempo que no tenian,ella trabajara mas que todo en su manera de expresarse a la gente porque sabe que lo mas importante es ganarse al publico con palabras.llegara lejos,y si ella sabe manejar el favoritismo podria llegar a los primeros 5 lugares.Colores de fuego para Colombia.
*BRASIL se hara sentir, ella cautivara mas que por su belleza por su expresion,su color es el negro,ganara una banda especial antes de la final, ella sabra de quien hacerse amiga "es preferible tener el enemigo cerca"
Del resto de las latinas muy pocas destacaran péro hay 2 una de suramerica y una de centroamerica que daran de que hablar.
USA estara muy cerca de ganar la 8ava corona para ese pais,su fuerte sera la oratoria y que tiene mucha actitud de latina.
Veo una miss de una isla del caribe con gran sorpresa clasificando, sin nadie imaginarlo.Las europeas estaran en su mayor apogeo,estas no sentiran que las latinas son rivales, veo dos rubias muy fuertes y una cabello oscuro siendo fuertes candidatas.Kosovo clasificara.Asi igualmente la corona no ira a Europa.
Asia y Africa mas que todo asia seran las mas fuertes de todas, Korea,Japon,Tailandia y la local quedaran en alto.Las asiaticas no quieren regresar la corona a otro continente.Africa solo tendra dos participantes que llegaran si se esmeran como surafrica y angola, hay un pais africano que clasificara por primera vez en su historia.
Para el el Miss UNIVERSO 2008 Venezuela sera noticia por politica pero esto le dara publicidad positiva a Dayana al igual que a la Colombiana.Otra cosa que percibo Donald Trump tiene el ojo puesto ya en quienes seran su top 3.Asi como dije que China ganaria Miss Mundo y quedaria junto a MEXICO Y ANGOLA, dije lo de Silvana Santaella ocupando los primeros 4 lugares y de Hannelys Quintero en el concurso internacional donde asistio donde dije que todo dependia de como se expresara,igual pienso que Dayana debe trabajar eso sin perder su jovialidad y espontaneidad que son su caracteristica principal.CAUTELA DAYANA ahi mucha gente mala vibra de la misma quinta miss venezuela que no quiere que ganes.Algo con un traje de baño ROJO..!POSITIVO!!SERA UN MISS UNIVERSO REÑIDO ENTRE POCAS CANDIDATAS.

Sin encomendarse a nadie, esta semana Marianne Cruz cambió su vestido de gala. Se supone que se lo notificara al diseñador Leonel Lirio o a la directora de franquicia, Magali Febles, pero la reina de belleza no dijo ni pío.
La noche antes, Febles se enteró y le prohibió usar el traje ya que Leonel Lirio estuvo dos meses trabajando en un modelo blanco en cristales y chifón. Pero, aún prometiéndole que la obedecería, la desafió al salir al escenario con un vestido de espejos del diseñador venezolano Alejandro Fajardo que ya había sido usado por una Miss Venezuela.
“Si Marianne pensaba usar una creación de un diseñador venezolano debería haber sido un traje nuevo, no una pieza repetida y usada por una candidata que tampoco alcanzó un primer lugar. No importa de quién la usara, pero debió ser una pieza especial, nueva y concebida dentro de su participación. O sea, que desafiándonos a nosotros, se desafía a sí misma. Lo hace porque es una persona que no es digna de confianza ni está capacitada para estar en una competencia como ésta”, dijo Leonel Lirio ayer, quien viajó a Vietnam con muchos sacrificios para encontrarse con la ingrata sorpresa.
Leonel no es nuevo en estas lides. Entre los muchos trajes que ha creado están el de la Miss Universo 2003, Amelia Vega y también realizó el traje típico que la dominicana lució en esa competencia.
“La miss de misses y hasta la fecha la única Miss Universo dominicana, rechazó tres vestidos que le fueron ofrecidos y no se dejó seducir. Les comentó en esa ocasión que si ella ganaba la corona de Miss Universo vestida de un país que no era el suyo, su país no se lo iba a perdonar nunca. Sin embargo, Marianne mandó a buscar ese traje a Venezuela”, reveló el diseñador.
Según Leonel Lirio, con esa acción Marianne no sólo le falta el respeto a él sino a muchos profesionales dominicanos que le han dado trabajo de modelo desde hace cinco años y que le confeccionaron un ajuar que apenas ha usado porque sus acesores entienden que no tienen la categoría que ella necesita.
“Hay un dicho en mi país que dice que los dominicanos tenemos el símbolo de Guacaranarix, que olvidando su esencia del indio dominicano cayó seducido por el brillo de los espejos que le ofrecieron los españoles y finalmente terminó preso de su propia codicia”, concluyó.
Pero esta no es la primera vez que Marianne falta a las reglas de la organización del concurso.
Magali Febles mencionó que a principios de año -sin consultarla-, la joven se fue a Venezuela y se sometió a varias cirugías plásticas que incluyeron aumento de senos, arreglo de nariz y liposucción.

Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza ruled both the gown and swimsuit segment. She’s Queen Dayana no doubt about that. No wonder she’s in high spirits during the post-prelim press-con. Miss Mexico Elisa Najera has also a strong potential to win the crown but if you compare her to Dayana she’s a wee bit a step behind. Miss Colombia Taliana Vargas has some magic but there are critics who are not happy with her performance.
TR: Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza fue la que mando en el segmento de vestido y traje de baño. Ella es la Reina Dayana, no hay duda al respecto. No es de extrañar que ella estuviera de buen ánimo en la post-preliminar durante la conferencia de prensa. Miss Mexico Elisa Nájera tiene también un fuerte potencial para ganar la corona, pero si la comparas con Dayana, Elisa esta un paso atrás. Miss Colombia Taliana Vargas tiene una cierta magia, pero hay críticos que no está contento con su rendimiento.
Miss India Simran Kaur Mundi is a delight to talk with. She’s approachable and she got a towering figure. She did well in the prelims using her statuesque figure as her advantage.

There is something about Miss Panama Carolina Dementiev that can bring light to a dark room. She’s jolly and she’s got a vibrant personality that clearly showed off during the preliminaries. She should score well at the interviews.
TR: Hay algo acerca de Miss Panamá Carolina Dementiev que pueden aportar luz a una habitación oscura. Ella es alegre y ella tiene una vibrante personalidad que mostró claramente durante la preliminar. Ella debe obtener una buena puntuación en las entrevistas.
