Subject: That's actually not true. Several non-champ dancers have passed the exam. It's more about having fantastic basics (turnout, rhythm, etc) than the fancy-ness of your steps.

But you should be able to choreograph and teach a champ-level step, of course. It's just not necessary to have gone to the Nationals to pass your own dancing section of the exam.
