Subject: Oprah Winfrey is a religion , so some of the media say. When she indorsed Obama she dropped from about 70% approval rating to less than 50%. Even our god is racist. Some of her followers say.

doesn't attend church, but likes to forward religious emails. Go figure? lol....

She sent me the one, Verified by snopes.com, that goes on and on about Oprah and her spiritual church online and how she denounces Jesus (I think... I honestly didn't read it) blah blah blah blah.

I think, if she can get more people to look inside and find a spiritual side, kudos to her.

I think, if she can talk someone out of believing in a traditional Christian belief, for me personally, I think that's sad but then that person probably had doubts to begin with.

I think, if anyone can get people to be more charitable and kinder to others - goo for them.

I don't "get" Buddhism, but I think Richard Gere comes across as a very nice person.

Scientology kind of gives me the chills (Tom Cruise sure doesn't help matters) but I think John Travolta is a pretty nice guy - and, like them or not... Priscilla and Lisa Marie also seem to be basically decent people.

I must say - having taught Middle East this year in social studies, I have a new view on Islam.
