Subject: Are these people the seeds of a new terrorism movement in America?

This link is to a short movie clip about Christian religious extremists who seem to have political aspirations. They openly talk about being God`s soldiers and say plainly that they are prepared to die for their faith. They also explain that to them we are "either with us or against us" to use their own words.If I was from America I would be lobbying my local senator for government action to be taken against them. I truly find them sinister. I do not believe we have any equalivent movement over here in the UK although we have other kind of extremists.

Hello Algebra. Thanks for the welcome. I`m just curious to know what the authorities over there are doing about this. Surely the last thing president Bush wants in the USA is an aggresive fundamentalist movement with a political agenda. I doubt whether this movement would be tolerated in the UK because ever since the London train bombings last year the authorities here have been pretty robust with all extremist movements who even hint that violence is part of their agenda. Let`s hope that Bush understands fully that these people are a real threat to public safety.

US authorities haven't announced that they're doing anything about it.

The aggressive fundamentalist movement you reference is considered to be president Bush's base, his core supporters.

As an avid Bush critic, I believe the president would allow almost anything to happen in this country, short of a nuclear holocaust, if it would scare the voting public. Right wing republican research groups (think tanks) believe fear mongering assures the public will vote to keep Republicans in office. We have a midterm election in early November.

This may be what it takes to wake the sleepy heads. This and all the myriad connections linking to each other like a web, leave me stunned when I realize the continued complacency at large. I feel this is changing. I will forever on vote my conscience and never the least evil of choices. As I learned from the Constitution Party, "It is still evil." I am now a card carrying member, without apology. Bush does not seem to understand much of anything or he understands all too well. He is either clever in his deciept or functionally illiterate. I must be subjected to fear and intimidation for I am stifled and don't need a "manicure."
