I remained spoiler free (besides knowing Xena may be killed) for the final episodes and after I've calmed down after the shock that there will be no more Xena I think it was a really gutsy way to end a series, by killing off the main character for redemption, which was what Xena originally was all about, her journey seeking redemption.
You know I didn't even have a reaction to the violence it just was an integral part of the story line and this is Xena there is violence all the time on this show.
I think the last scene on the boat was a bit confusing, Xena is there, then isnt? I think I'm giving it too much thought, but the scene on the mountain side concluded things pretty well for me.
I cant wait to get the directors cut if it is really that good.
