"Wait," said Liam. He pressed a large jewel on his left gauntlet. The jewel began to glow a crimson color which spread throughout his hand. The light solidified and took the shape of a longsword. The blade was as long as he was tall, and the handguard was in the shape of an eagle, wings spread in flight. He turned the sword and held it by the blade, passing it to Silver.

"Use this sword, please," he requested of the Ximian. "It was my brothers."

She grabbed the leather-bound handle of the sword. "O-okay. Are you sure you don't want to die like a real warrior? In battle?" she asked.

"I'm not a warrior. I'm just some kid who was forced to fight. And for something he didn't believe in, too. I mean, so many people think that I'm a hero. That I did the whole, "Great Power, Great Responsibility" thing, but I was just dragged along for the ride. I fought because it was the only way I could live through most of that shit. I honestly couldn't care less about the people I just so happened to save while trying to save my own ass. I just wanted some peace, some... I-I don't know."

"I'm rambling again, aren't I?" said Liam. "Just, get it over with."

With some reluctance, Silver drew back the blade...
